Two Books For the Price of One
Yes, this is my once-a-year, shamelessly self-promotional blog post, but before you extend your pinky towards that “delete” button, please read about the deal I am offering to you, my loyal readers.
Beginning now through the end of December, purchase a copy of Speaking for Spot or Your Dog’s Best Health and get a second book for free (second book must be of equal or lesser value). I will personally sign each and every book. And to sweeten the deal, I will provide complimentary giftwrap upon request. I do my best to find wrapping paper that combines holidays and dogs. No promises, however when it comes to Chanukah- if you manage to find a combination of doggies and dreidels, please reveal your source!
Consider giving the “Gift of Spot” this year to all of your dog-loving friends and relatives as well as all of those people who support you in your “dog life”: veterinarian, groomer, pet-sitter, dog trainer, dog park buddies. If your professional life happens to revolve around dogs, consider books as gifts for your clients. And don’t forget to gift yourself while you’re at it! Order just as many books as you like at this two-for-one price.
One never knows when these books will come in handy. Here is an email I recently received from Helen:
Dear Dr. Kay,
I purchased Speaking for Spot two years ago and read most of it at the time. I read it again last week because Belle my Border Collie was just diagnosed with lymphoma. She’s only 5 years old and is the love of my life. I can’t even begin to tell you how devastated I feel. Your book has helped me so much. I felt so overwhelmed when I got the diagnosis that it was hard for me to even think straight. Reading the sections about cancer and making decisions was so helpful and reassuring to me. The book coached me through all the decisions I had to make for Belle. The two of us live alone so there was no one else to make decisions for her. I am working with a vet who specializes in cancer and Belle seems to be feeling much better. I just hope it lasts. Mostly I just wanted to thank you for writing this book. I never thought I would need it in this way.
Helen and Belle
I encourage you to have a copy of Speaking for Spot and Your Dog’s Best Health in your home library.
