Since the inception of Speaking for Spot I have been donating proceeds from book sales to nonprofit organizations. For the past three years the Speaking for Spot Gives Back Program has provided funding to multiple animal shelters and pet rescue organizations. The program is shifting gears and proceeds from book sales will now be targeted towards organizations serving pets in the midst of natural disasters. The first of these targeted donations will be for those caring for animals displaced by the Colorado wildfires during the summer of 2012
